SUMMARY:
An established FMCG company in Somerset West is looking for a reliable Bookkeeper / Accountant to support the day-to-day financial function.
This role focuses on accurate processing, reconciliations, and reporting in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate is organised, detail-driven, and comfortable working with tight deadlines.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping duties up to trial balance
- Process creditors and debtors’ transactions
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting
- Capture and review financial transactions
- Support VAT preparation and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with stock and cost tracking relevant to FMCG operations
- Support internal controls and audit requirements
Requirements- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
- 2–4 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
- Experience in a high-volume or FMCG environment advantageous
- Working knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Pastel, Xero or similar)
- Good Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and workload
