SUMMARY:
Qualified Accountant / Bookkeeper with relevant Diploma or Degree and minimum 2 years’ experience in the retail industry required for this Retail Company based in Somerset West.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualified Accountant / Bookkeeper with relevant Diploma or Degree and minimum 2 years’ experience in the retail industry required for this Retail Company based in Somerset West.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Bookkeeping Diploma / Accounting Degree required
  • Minimum 2 years’ Accounting/Bookkeeping  experience in the Retail Industry required
  • Pastel , Xero , Sage Pastel Online, Quickbooks knowledge required
  • Knowledge of Erply Accounting Package advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Inventory/Stock systems essential
  • SARS e-filing experience and statutory requirements essential
  • Payroll experience essential
  • Ability to perform monthly financial analysis on transactions, preparing management reports, reconciliation reports and budgets required

 

Responsibilities:

  • Full accounting function
  • Processing daily transactions
  • Bank, creditors and debtors reconciliations
  • Petty cash
  • Payroll
  • SARS statutory returns and e-filing
  • Prepare management reports
  • Reconciliation reports
  • Budgets
  • Daily cash-up function, reconciliations and reports
  • Monthly financial analysis on transactions
  • Inventory and stock control function
