Bookkeeper / Wages Administrator

SUMMARY:
Our client is a major producer of, among other things, high quality Plumbing Products and Packaging Products and is based at Alrode industrial area in Alberton. They are looking to employ a Bookkeeper / Wages Administrator on a 3-month temporary assignment. Applicant must be unemployed currently and immediately available.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

To perform full bookkeeping and weekly wages payroll function to ensure accurate generation of trial balance in line with company procedures.  Compiling and submitting monthly and annual statutory and other statutory returns. The service is provided from the premises of the manufacturing plant in Alrode.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Full Bookkeeping to Trial Balance function on Syspro
• Full weekly wages function on Psiber
• Compiling and submitting monthly and annual statutory and other returns
• Etc.

Educational Requirements:

• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Qualifications: Bookkeeping Certificate/Diploma/Degree

Experience and Skills Required:

• 5 years Bookkeeping working experience - Syspro 7.1 & Excel
• 2 Years’ Wages payroll experience (Psiber preferably)
• Motivated, disciplined and a team player
• Familiar with MEIBC Main agreement and statutory payments
• Deadline driven, Attention to detail and highly accurate
• Good communication skills- verbal & written
• Confidentiality (POPI ACT)
