Bookkeeper/ Payroll Specialist (JB648)

R25 000 – R30 000 CTC per Month

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping function:

Accounting for and reporting monthly management packs for 5 companies

Debtors and creditor’s function

Invoicing, customer statements and reconciling accounts

Keeping record of all costs and calculating necessary intercompany cross charges

Process bank statements

Process journal entries

Compile monthly TB and management accounts

calculations and submission

Payroll function:

Processing and accounting for payroll for +/- 130 staff

Making the bi-weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payments on time, including overtime calculations across 2 companies

Full payroll calculations on pastel payroll for all wage, salary and commission staff

Issuing tax forms (EMP201s and 501’s, etc)

Submitting monthly UIF declarations to the department of labour

Setting up new members of staff

Requirements:

Accounting degree or National Diploma

2+ years bookkeeping and payroll experience (Negotiable)

Pastel experience

Accuracy and attention to detail is essential as there are new projects on a constant basis

Problem solving abilities - out of the box thinking and agility

High level of self-motivation (This is not a micro managed environment)
