SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Bookkeeper for a permanent vacancy based in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
  • Financial qualification required
  • 5+ years relevant experience in a similar role handling the duties listed below
  • Must be resident in Mthatha
  • Pastel working experience needed
 
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
 
  • Annual AFS for auditors plus monthly MFS & reports as needed
  • Full function up to Trial Balance, including Journals and roll overs and input reviews
  • Cashbook processing and reconciliation to GL
  • Loading payments / recipients
  • Creditor reconciliations and reviews
  • Debtor’s reconciliations, document formatting, and approve payment arrangements
  • Supplier account applications
  • Control of stationery stock
  • Preparation of salary documentation and submission of payroll
  • HR duties - Employment contracts & correspondence, training records, call analysis, review reimbursements
  • Statutory returns – Vat, EMP201 & 501, Provident, UIF, review provisional tax, BBBEE certificate, Tax clearance, CSD, annual return follow ups, WSP, SETA claims
  • Ensure archives are updated and backed up
 
Salary:  R20 000.00 per month (dependent on experience)
