SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant for a permanent vacancy, based in East London, Eastern Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with B.Degree or equivalent in Accounting
3+ years’ experience as a bookkeeper – Fuel Station industry / FMCG ideal
Payroll experience, MS Office skills, and experience with cloud based accounting systems (Zero system experience preferred)
Good communication skills and time management ability

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Maintain financial records / transactions
Record debits / credits and update General Ledger
Reconcile entries into accounting system
Maintain Trial Balance by reconciling General Ledgers
Payroll (salaries) – both weekly and monthly as well as PAYE submissions
Monitor variances from projected budgets
Ensure payments/ receipts are updated
Submit supplier / debtor payments
Prepare / submit VAT returns
Prepare monthly management accounts and calculate GP margins

Salary: R192 000.00 per annum CTC
