SUMMARY:
Milnerton, Cape Town. Established company with a strong presence in the container industry seeks Bookkeeper / Financial Controller with excellent administrative and organisational skills, and a minimum of 2 years proven Bookkeeping experience.

POSITION INFO:

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:

Keep track of, and maintain an accurate record of financial transactions, and a coherent system of accounts with a supporting filing system
Analyse and charge expenses to the correct cost centre codes
Maintaining petty cash and ensuring appropriate use of company debit card
Querying questionable items, prices / quotes, errors, etc.
Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary
Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management
Managing the Administrative aspect of branch

HR Responsibilities:

Processing HR administrative paperwork
Maintain employee documentation (leave forms, contracts, company property forms)
Monitor attendance records for payroll on a weekly basis for month-end payroll

Requirements:

Bookkeeping or Accounting related qualification
Experience working on Pastel and Microsoft Excel
Experience with time sheets and wage and salary calculations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Team player
