SUMMARY:
An independent claims management company requires the above to be responsible for the full bookkeeping function and related financial duties within their company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

BComm Accounting or a related qualification is essential.
Previous experience having worked as a Bookkeeper is essential for the role.
Excellent application of Sage Evolution essential.
Must be proficient in Microsoft office with good Sage Evolution skills.
Must have proven ability to meet deadlines.
Must have strong numeric skills.
Must have attention to detail together with good organisational skills.
Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
Ability to meet deadlines timeously.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Assisting the Group Accountant and Group Executive Finance in performing financial duties on a daily basis.
Handling general accounting queries.
Organising and maintaining financial records (filing).
Capturing daily payments received in AR (accounts receivable).
Conducting monthly adjustment of debtors ledger / (AR).
Managing creditors.
Processing payments and reconciliations, weekly and monthly.
Preparing and processing monthly journals and accruals.
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Managing foreign currency (FX) payments.
Performing credit cards and travel expenses monthly reconciliations.
Adhering to internal and external audit control requirements.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
