An iconic household brand in the tyre industry, forming part of well-known transport conglomerate, seeks an experienced and eager to learn Bookkeeper to join their finance team based in Cape Town's Southern suburbs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job & Company Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for the full bookkeeping to trail balance function.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Debtors accounts administration
Opening new accounts
Maintenance of client information
Statements
Debtors queries
Reports on outstanding debts
Overdue accounts
Credit notes
Reconciliations
Resolving disputes
Payments
Cashbook - review of expenses and payments received
Daily allocations and recons of cashbook
Office admin including stationary, management of office cleaner and facilities maintenance

Education:

Matric (Grade 12) completed
Relevant finance qualification

Job Experience & Skills Required:

3 to 5 years' experience in debtors, creditors and cashbook
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential
Solid knowledge of Pastel / Sage
Ability to take initiative, learn quickly and strive for results
Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
Team player
