SUMMARY:
An independent fiduciary services company is seeking an immediately available Bookkeeper for a 7 – 8 month maternity cover contract.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

EMPLOYMENT TYPE :           Temporary

DUTIES:

Bring accounting books to final trial balance stage
Accounting function including capturing of source documentation
Reconciliation of accounting records to third party statements (debtors, creditors, bank)
Complete VAT201 returns and prepare VAT reconciliations
Verify VAT on transactions
Correctly allocate and pay supplier invoices
Timeous preparation of sales invoices / issue invoices to clients
Liaise with suppliers / clients and solve queries on accounts
Send debtor statements to clients
Attend to client queries as they arise
Collect debtors
Review and manage all staff reimbursement claims
General administrative function within the accounting department
Adhere to internal HR processes
General accounting and company filing
Ad hoc tasks delegated by the supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
2 years’ experience in similar position
Xero Software (non-negotiable)
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + Office 365
Fluent in Afrikaans & English
Deadline driven
Attention to detail
Results & solution focused
Adaptable
