JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client based in Cape Town are on the lookout for a Bookkeeper to be based at there office in  CBD.

Must be Immediately available. 

This is a project based position for 3 months.

Salary based on experience.

Must reside close to CBD. 

The ideal candidate must be a vibrant person with a go getter attitude and willing to assist when needed. 

 

Requirements and Skills

  • Must have bookkeeping qualification and at least 2 years’ solid bookkeeping experience.
  • Prepare reports for the managers and trial balances to assist the accountants.
  • Assist payroll, collect debts, generate invoices and make payments.
  • Establishing different accounts.
  • Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying.
  • Defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying and allocating transactions.
  • Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts.
  • Maintaining a balanced general ledger.
  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting for information.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements.
  • Monitoring for variances from the projected budget.
  • Advising management on compliance needs.
  • Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices.
