Must have at least 5 years’ current experience as a bookkeeper and a completed relevant Financial Qualification

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements and Working experience:

Matric with relevant Finance Qualification (completed in South Africa)
At least 5 years’ current experience as a bookkeeper
Current working experience on Sage Evolution
Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
Excellent Afrikaans and English communication skills (verbal & written)
Liaising with clients in a professional manner
Own reliable transport and driver’s licence
Clear criminal record

Adhoc accounting duties including, but not limited to.

Credit applications / Statutory submissions /Reconciling accounts / following up on outstanding accounts /Payment entries / Credit notes

Duties will inlcude:

Full Debtors, Creditors, Cash book function
Preparation of weekly cash flow
Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
Review of payments for processing & loading payments on Absa Bank Business Online
Perform monthly reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts
Prepare and process journal entries as required by the Financial Manager
Assist with the preparation of month-end management accounts
Assist with the preparation of external audit preparation
Assist with the preparation of yearly budget and quarterly forecasts
Working with and maintaining the GL structures
Daily/Weekly/ Monthly Financial Reporting to Head Office
Adhoc duties required by the Financial Manager
