SUMMARY:
Bookkeeper - Richards Bay

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Creditors
- Responsible for the completion of credit applications, capturing of purchase orders, administration of all creditor’s invoices and the reconciliation of creditor invoices to creditor statements
- Assist with processing invoice payments when required.
Financial Bookkeeping
- General ledger reconciliations
- Processing of general journals
Inventory
- Capturing inventory items to the miscellaneous inventory register
- Maintaining miscellaneous inventory register and performing Inventory counts
- Maintaining fuel registers
- Calculate fuel usage and complete related journals
General
- Assist in the co-ordination of audits
- Assist the Financial Accountant with admin duties, ad hoc tasks and projects
- Maintain a filing system
- Assisting with petty cash related duties

Requirements:

Suitable tertiary financial qualification
Analytical and critical thinker
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in performing all essential duties
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment in a constructive and collaborative manner
Exceptional organisational and communication skills
Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment while managing tight deadlines
Strong Excel skills, and be comfortable with large data volume
High level of energy and the desire to work in a fast-changing working environment
Willingness to take on new tasks as the job develops
– 3 years’ experience in Bookkeeping, Debtors and Creditors role (Experience in a manufacturing industry is preferable)
Experience using accounting software – Oracle advantageous
Must be fluent in English (Speak, Read, Write)
Based in Richards Bay, not required to travel
