Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
Our client, a company bringing Cutting edge technology to the Industrial Industry is looking for a young and vibrant Bookkeeper to join their team in Cape Town. This person will need to have around 3 years of experience including working with foreign currency as well as shipping or Logistics. POSITION INFO:

Recording/processing of day-to-day transactions such as creditors'' invoices, debtors’ invoices, and bank transactions.

Bookkeeping to Trial Balance

Capturing payroll journals

Maintaining petty cash registers

Administering of accounts receivable and accounts payable

Assisting with following up on overdue amounts

Maintaining foreign shipping documents, registers, and related documents

Assisting with year-end closings

Assisting with submissions to SARS

Adhere to control procedures (including reconciliations, documentation, and authorization requirements).

Liaise with staff at the head office to assist in placing orders on time and tracking shipments

Overseeing general administration of financial activities.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2-3 Years of experience in Bookkeeping up to Trial Balance

Logistics, Manufacturing, or shipping industry experience

Experience working with multiple currencies

Own transport is essential

Qualification:

Matric

Tertiary Qualification in Finance
