Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:

A marketing and advertising services company in Illovo, Sandton is currently looking to employ a Senior Bookkeeper, who will be responsible for recording and maintaining the businesses financial transactions. This will include, but not limited to purchases, expenses and sales revenues etc. Assist in the management of the accounting function with the Financial Manager, ensuring planning, budgets and forecasts, interpreting financial results, monitoring cash flow, capital expenditure programmes, management reporting systems and development, special investigations/reports, operating efficiency studies, feasibility studies and efficiently assist with monthly payroll and stay abreast with regulations and laws.

Must have knowledge on Chase Financial and Pastel.

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Record financial data into general ledgers and produce the balance sheet
• Prepare and interpret Financial management information on an ongoing and timeous basis
• Complete all financial Reporting within stipulated deadlines, insights and maintaining optimal financial efficiencies across the business and its related divisions
• Analysing financial transactions and assigning them to specific accounts
• Writing original journal entries that credit and debit the appropriate accounts
• Adjusting entries at the end of each accounting period and ensure balancing of books
• Management and facilitation of all audit processes, systems and policy development and implementation across the business and its related divisions
• Facilitation and management of full payroll and related functions
• Managing the financial and administrative staff for the day-to-day financial requirements including the management of general office administration, building maintenance, facilities etc.
• Monitor, implement and keep abreast with financial best practice, compliance, financial laws and regulation, maintaining good corporate governance across business and its related divisions

 Requirements:

• B.Com Degree – Finance and/or higher
• 3 to 5 years as Financial generalist covering all aspects of financial management
• Strong experience and knowledge of Chase Financial and Pastel
• Excellent Computer literacy: MSO Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Pastel and or other financial systems as used by company
• Problem solving skills

• Able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
