SUMMARY:
Senior Bookkeeper

POSITION INFO:

Our client in Cape Town city centre is looking for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to run the full integrated financial system for his surgery. You will be responsible for the full financial system with an ability to create Business Information reports which roll up on a daily dashboard that will enable the practice to make well informed business decisions.

We require someone that is confident and assertive with an enquiring mind who can provide not only financial but business solutions. Financial integrity and an eye for detail with and enquiring mind are critical requirements for this role.

Previous experience of working in a surgery and experience in working with medical aids would be nice but not essential.

Requirements

A relevant financial qualification
Ability to do the financials up to trial balance and VAT returns
Ability to produce a financial income statement
Advanced Excel skills with an ability to do V-look ups and BI reports and produce a financial/business dashboard
Experience of Pastel
An ability to translate the financials into a working document with an action plan
Great communication skills verbal and written and bilingual in Afrikaans and English
Attention to detail and accuracy with and analytical mind
An ownership mentality with an enquiring mind to add value and make a difference
Professional and well groomed
Great organizational skills
Working hours are 8-5 with an hour lunch Mon-Fri
Salary highly negotiable
