Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
A leading distributor of food and baking supplies based in Stellenbosch is looking to appoint a Bookkeeper to join their team. The successful candidate will be based at their Head office between Stellenbosch and Kuilsriver and ensure the accurate processing of financial transactions to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department.

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Month end procedures
• Processing of all loan accounts
• Processing of Journals to ledgers and control accounts
• Preparing monthly financial statements
• Monthly recons
• Processing of daily / weekly / monthly cashbook
• Filing of bank statements
• Cash flow analysis
• Debtors Control
• Creditors Control
• SARS VAT and EMP 201 submissions, returns, and payments.
• Fixed Asset Register
• Assist in preparation for yearly audits.
• Payroll – oversee monthly wages and staff salary payroll run.
• Record keeping

Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper
• Matric / Grade 12
• Bookkeeping diploma (or any finance related diploma)
• Own car and license.
• VIP Payroll / Pastel experience
• Excel (Advanced)
