SUMMARY:
Bookkeeper - Sandton
R22 000 - R25 000 CTC per month depending on experience and qualications

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Bookkeeping

Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance.
Processing and reconciliation of bank accounts.
Accounts payable and accounts receivable administration.
General ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
Processing journals and month-end procedures.
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts.

Payroll

Processing payroll using Sage Payroll.
Maintaining employee payroll records.
Ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.

Statutory Compliance

Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Preparation and submission of EMP201 returns.
General SARS eFiling administration and submissions.
Assisting with compliance-related financial requirements.

General Finance Administration

Assisting with financial reporting requirements.
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Liaising with management and external service providers where required.
Supporting the finance team across multiple entities.

Minimum Requirements

Bookkeeping Certificate or equivalent qualification.
3–5 years' bookkeeping experience.
Proven experience in a multi-company or SME environment.
Practical experience using Pastel Accounting (essential).
Experience processing payroll using Sage Payroll.
Experience with SARS eFiling, including VAT and EMP submissions.
Experience assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working across multiple companies/entities.
- Exposure to month-end reporting processes.
- Experience supporting a finance team in a fast-paced environment.
