SUMMARY:
Our client based in Muizenberg, Cape Town specializes in smart water treatment solutions and needs to fill a permanent vacancy for a Boilermaker - Stainless Steel.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

National Senior Certificate (Matric).
Valid Driver’s License.
3+ year’s stainless steel welding experience.
Red Seal Boilermaker Apprenticeship Certificate
MIG, Co2, and flux-cored arc welding.
Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination.
Must be able to work overtime if required
Must have sober habits and be well disciplined.

Skills Required:
Able to perform manual work.
Able to work well in a TEAM environment.
Good manual dexterity with the ability to use tools and machinery - mechanical aptitude.
Safety awareness.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Adhere to strict occupational health and safety guidelines.
Follow instructions and perform other duties as required.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Assist in the selection and collection of appropriate materials, methods, equipment, and tools necessary to complete the job.
Complete products by washing, cleaning, chiseling, grinding, and filing.
Cut, mold, twist, shape, punch, hammer, and weld metal.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Use a range of machinery, hand, and power tools.
Use welding equipment and CNC (computer numerically controlled) machines.
Use a range of methods to assemble parts such screwing, bolting, welding, and riveting.
All boiler-making duties may not specifically be listed above, but are required for the successful completion of any product build.
