Boilermaker (CO2 Welding)

SUMMARY:
We are looking to employ a highly experienced and suitably qualified Boilermaker for a Trackless mining equipment company based in the Western Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

PLEASE NOTE: If you do NOT have a redseal boilermaker trade AND CO2 welding certificate AND machine repair and rebuild experience - DO NOT APPLY!

Qualification/Skills:

South African Trade tested as a Welder.

CO2 Welding essential

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Welding of all production parts and repairs rebuild machines
• When welding study the create patters using straightedges, level, squares
• At all times carry the correct / relevant equipment / tools to do the require work.
• Immediately report any abuse / negligence by the operators on any of the equipment.
• Often replace components on machines, weld sections of steel together as per agreed specifications.

Experience Required:

• At least five years relevant post trade test experience.
• Understand advanced mechanical theory and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Welder must be adept with hand tools, power tools, grinders, acetylene torches and other metalworking tools.
