POSITION INFO:

Our client in the manufacturing industry based in Paarl is currently looking to employ a Boilermaker.

Â

• Candidates should have an above average understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical fault finding and systems, be computer literate, and have 3 years prior experience in servicing and maintaining in-field waste equipment.

Â

Purpose of the position:

• To operate and maintain the plant and equipment to ensure minimum production downtime, maximum life span of equipment and production of quality products.

Requirements:

• Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker and/or Fitter).
• 3 Years post apprenticeship experience in a similar environment.
• Driver’s license.
• Computer literate
• Good reasoning ability.

Â

Responsibilities:

• To build up or modify machinery to improve plant performance.
• Welding of machine parts; MIG, TIG and ARC.
• Fault finding (hydraulic and basic electrical).
• Perform general fitting duties.
• To be able to work with minimum supervision.
• To assist with the manufacture of spares.
• To ensure safe working practices are adhered to.
• To occasionally oversee non-skilled labour.
