Billing Clerk

SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position will be to maintain the debtors’ books by invoicing correctly, allocating monies, and providing management with an accurate reflection of the debtor’s status. This opportunity will fit an accomplished Billing Clerk who can hit the ground running.

POSITION INFO:

Key Accountabilities:

• Timeous processing of invoices when all supporting documents are in place.
• Maintain routine and accurate bookkeeping.
• Reconcile cashbook and ensure correct account allocations.
• Prepare and distribute accurate monthly customer statements.
• Following up on outstanding Debtor balances via email and telephone
• Determine which customers are overdue.
• Collections: Ensure timeous receipt of outstanding debtors
• Loading of Purchase orders for Marvel purposes
• PO reconciliations
• Competently engages with customers for timeous resolution of queries.
• Engage with professionals to validate and reconcile timesheets.
• Early escalation of possible delayed customer payments
• Any other ad hoc finance tasks and projects

 Minimum Requirements:

• Basic financial/ accounting experience
• Microsoft office Suite – Intermediate level – Excel important
• Tertiary level finance qualification
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a billing Clerk
