Bill Auditors (Hospital) - Contract

POSITION INFO:

A short term contract position has become available for a Bill Auditor with a national Healthcare Group. Applicants can reside in any province, but must meet the requirements as indicated below to be considered.

Education and Skills:

General Nursing Diploma OR  Enrolled Nurse Certificate

SANC registered

Min of 3 years Case Management, Clinical Coding or Bill Auditor experience essential

Computer proficient 

CLEAR Credit and Criminal record  

Ability to resume duty within 1 week if successful

Key output and responsibilities of the role:

Managing the financial and clinical risks of the business unit. Conduct retrospective audits of patient documentation, to identify areas of weakness, recommend corrective action and monitor effective implementation.

Knowledge of the following is an inherent job requirement:

·         Hospital patient services and billing processes

·         Good understanding of CPT/CCSA & ICD coding

·         Understand funder contracts, scheme rules and exclusions/benefits

·         Clear understanding and knowledge of hospital industry and practices
