POSITION INFO:

Introduction

• One of the biggest Automotive company based in Gauteng is looking for an excellent Group Big Data Administrator to join their dynamic team.

Purpose of the Role

• The role serves as an analytics specialist in the business, focusing on the management of data from various sources and providing data-driven insights to relevant departments.
• The role is to aid the business by providing various departments with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard solutions that will enable the achievement of the business’s overall goals.
• The role involves the definition of detailed requirements, the analysis of the business’s needs, and the validation of reporting solutions within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data collection, analysis, validation, model design and reporting
• Present data analysis (trends, insights, forecasts) and findings to business and show tangible business impact
• Design, test and document processes, SQL queries and stored procedures
• Develop, maintain and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions
• Participate in design thinking process to determine and confirm hypotheses and priority questions/data challenges and related metrics to be solved
• Translate business questions to be solved into data requirements and define a data solution to deliver against these requirements
• Proactively partner with the Distribution Centre team to refine the data requirements, deliver raw data for interpretation
• Use advanced data science skills to mine and interpret data
• Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
• Contribute to the assessments of the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

Minimum experience & qualifications required

• BSc/ Bcom in management information systems, computer science, engineering or related discipline
• 3 years’ relevant work experience in programming, coding
• Previous experience in data models and reporting packages
• Experience in statistical methodologies and data analysis
• Knowledge of data analyses tools and relational databases.
• Extensive SAP experience
• Project Management experience
• Excellent Numerical and analytical skills
