POSITION INFO:
My client urgently requires a multi-talented individual who will be responsible for administering various databases components relating to the company’s MIS and reporting systems, within the parameters of IT best practice, thereby ensuring development, maintenance, and optimization of the company business intelligence environment.
Key elements of the role:
- The individual must have the following technical skills as non-negotiables:
- Solution architecture and design
- Data Interpretation/analysis
- Report Generation - Excel and Power BI
- Power BI – Dax - the ability to create measures and cross link data.
- Data modelling - create and implement.
- Business Analysis - understanding and interpretation of the business requirements.
- Identification of root causes and escalation of failure points.
- Data centric, immersed within the data space.
- Numerically literate.
- Must be a self-starter – can manage special projects independently, from start to end.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must be assertive.
Minimum qualifications:
- Must have obtained either a National Diploma, BTech or bachelor’s degree with an IT related qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.
- 3 years IT related experience
- Specific experience related to System Administration and /or Data Visualisation will be advantageous.
- MCSA/MCSE qualification will be advantageous.
- A SQL based qualification will be advantageous.
