Bench Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client in the security technology industry, based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg, has an EE opportunity available for a Bench Technician.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12
• Knowledge of the radio transmission AM (Amplitude Modulation), SSB, VHF, UHF, and FM
• Be able to do fault finding with circuit diagram
• Computer literate
• Must have a drivers license
• 2 years bench and installation work

Duties:

• Repair of mobile radios, base radios, and related hardware
• Conduct quarterly quality assurance audits to verify the effectiveness of our quality assurance processes
• Carry out RF installations
• Test of all analog radios and repeaters by means of basic test equipment to comply with the specification
• Testing and setup analog/digital repeaters according to the manual procedure
