Balance Sheet Typist

SUMMARY:
Our client, in the Finance Sector, has an opportunity available for a Balance Sheet Typist in the Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Basic Bookkeeping Diploma would be advantageous
• Typing skills
• Work scheduling and prioritisation skills
• Computer literacy
• Ability to work under pressure
• General administrative experience
• Sound knowledge in accounting and compilation of financial statements
• Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Caseware, Greatsoft

• Receive draft financial statements
• Prepare financial statement templates where needed
• Retype onto system with current year
• Process journal entries / adjust journal entries where possible; remapping of figures where required / requested
• Print sets of financial statements
• Ensure CIPC letter is typed when required
• Prepare debit note
• Issue general ledger info sheets where necessary
• Prepare list at month end of outstanding debit notes
