POSITION INFO:

BUYER / PLANNER – FLORIDA – R23 000 + BENEFITS

Matric + relevant BDegree / Diploma + 3-5 years Spares experience as Buyer / Planner.

Responsible for the procurement & management of spare parts. Monitor product codes to search for discrepancies, ensure physical inventory corresponds with master data within the system. Liaise with sales & workshop on all spares’ enquiries regarding ETAs, pricing, lead times, alternatives, exploded diagrams & buyouts. Track rates of sales & repairs of items to inform purchasing decisions. Prepare, generate & review suggested purchase orders using the demand planning system. Maintain spares pricing according to company policy & communicate any changes to stakeholders. Develop & maintain strong working relationships with workshops, warehouse, suppliers, customer service & sales. Execute signed off purchase orders with shipping & suppliers. Update ETAs in the system & expedite overdue orders with suppliers. Work closely with suppliers to ensure orders are delivered on time & in full to agreed specification to avoid disruptions to service. Sourcing of local alternatives.
