SUMMARY:
A stationery company based in Cleveland/Johannesburg is currently seeking a Buyer for their procurement division.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Valid Driver’s license and own vehicle
Must be computer literate – Excel Advance skills
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Must well groomed to present a professional image to clients
At least 5 years previous experience in a buying/procurement environment
Ability to work under pressure
General problem solving
Have the ability to follow instruction and pay attention to detail
Deadline driven and committed
Must have the ability to learn new systems
Must be willing to take on new tasks when necessary
Must have the ability to work independently
Analysing sales trends to help create and implement strategies that drive sales growth
Negotiating prices and terms of sales with suppliers and manufacturers
Scheduling deliveries of inventory to ensure items are received on time
Coordinating with venders to ensure that orders on time and within budget
Researching new suppliers to find competitive rates for new products and services
Compiling reports on sales figures, inventory levels and other business matrics for use in future planning
Following protocol for processing orders and invoices
Determining whether orders meet specifications for colour, style, size and other requirements
