POSITION INFO:

A FMCG COMP IN WOODSTOCK IS LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring that customer needs are met along the customer journey, as well as providing the highest calibre of service and experience to the customer in order to grow the product On Premise business in Cape Town.

The Business Development Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Nurture and develop relationships with your allocated customer base
• Developing the financial shape of your allocated customer base
• Sourcing and growing new customers in the specified area
• Establishing and supporting the Sir Fruit brand presence within outlets
• Activation of required promotions and the execution of marketing activities as needed
• Supporting operational efficiencies
• Providing continuous feedback loops to enable business innovation and improvements.

The role requires solid sales experience, a valid driver’s license, computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite), industry and product sales knowledge, commercial business acumen and strong negotiation skills. The Business Development Manager is required to display and use skills such as self-motivation, a drive for results, excellent peer relationships, customer centricity, positive mindset & problem-solving, agility, and collaborative communication.

Education and Experience

• Matric (with Mathematics)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role 
• Comprehensive understanding of the hospitality and restaurant environment
• Understanding of budgets, targets and strategic applications to achieve these
• Solid negotiating skills
