SUMMARY:
An opportunity exists for a candidate with solid Management skills, retail management experience, a proven sales track record and advanced product knowledge in the Steel retail and wholesale industry.

POSITION INFO:

 Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / equivalent
  • Retail Management / related qualification

 Requirements:

  • 8 or more years recent experience as a Branch / Sales Manager in the steel industry is essential and negotiable
  • General Management skills - Budgeting and financial control
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Computer literate (advanced skills on Excel)
  • Stable work record and have contactable references
  • Advanced knowledge of a variety of steel and allied products
  • Of sober habits
  • Strong management skills
  • Solid leadership skills

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Performance management of sales employees
  • Understanding of retail processes and procedures - Solid leadership skills - Training of sub-ordinates Advanced knowledge of a variety of steel and allied products.
  • Marketing of local products
  • Knowledge of the steel market
  • Day to day running of the business
  • Budget experience essential
  • A flair for sales and strategic planning
  • Reporting on Stats
