SUMMARY:
Our client in the international alcoholic beverage sector requires the services of a Bottling Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Bottling Manager will ensure that bottling processes are being carried out in line with the company, quality, and regulatory requirements and that the bottling production team has access to all relevant raw materials and equipment in order for the bottling process to run smoothly.

JOB DESCRIPTION:



RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directs the bottling activities of the factory, by having a proactive approach in the performance of duties and planning.
  • Supervises bottling activities ensuring proper operation and care of equipment including preventative maintenance and immediate repair as necessary.
  • Planning packaging materials aligning deliveries with the bottling schedule to ensure adequate inventory of all bottling supplies.
  • Develops a system to ensure adequate inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  • Oversees the implementation and execution of all hygiene and safety requirements.
  • Ensure that the production team has access to all necessary skills and equipment at the appropriate times.
  • The ability to handle all aspects of staff, i.e. performance management, attendance, work schedules.
  • Problem Solving – need to quickly assess production issues and establish the best course of action. Troubleshoots issues with equipment or machinery. Conduct reviews of the production processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensures quality control is maintained in all aspects of bottling, and that required standards are consistently applied.
  • Perform routine line checks using a variety of methods, including visual inspection of the line, using lab equipment, and inspecting packaging.
  • Must be able to spot problems within the production process quickly and take quick appropriate action to solve the problem.
  • Driven by accuracy, attention to detail and cost awareness within the workplace.
  • Manage deadlines.
 
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 5-year experience in beverage, wine, or related bottling environment, ideally with a focus on alcoholic products.
  • Experience with FSSC22000, BRC or HACCP
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Understanding of manufacturing equipment, the processes, and capabilities within an alcoholic beverage environment
  • Good organizational skills, ability to prioritise multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively
  • Must be quality focused and team oriented
  • Able to deliver under pressure
  • You need to be innovative.
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
