POSITION INFO:
RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced BOOKKEEPER (TO TRIAL BALANCE) for a well-established company based in the Pinetown area, KwaZulu-Natal. !THIS POSITION WOULD ONLY SUIT SOMEONE WHO CAN START IMMEDIATELY! JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS Grade 12. English speaking person (must be able to read, write and speak English competently). Relevant accounting / bookkeeping qualifications. 5yrs+ previous experience in a similar position. Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Previous experience on Pastel Partner is essential. General administration duties / answering of reception telephone. Assist customers with queries. Capture customer order numbers and place on Pastel, link when invoicing. Keeping Pastel up to date with all company transactions, expenses and details. Invoice all customers using sales and division codes for sales and services rendered. Creditors and debtors reconciliations. Bank reconciliations. Journals. Place purchase orders (both local and international suppliers). GRN incoming stock supplied from both locally and internationally (international stock converted to local currency). Basic level forex duties on occasion. Petty cash journals. Customer month-end statements. Age analysis. Sales orders analysis reports. Expenses and credit card statement processing. Assist management with support in maintaining various other business opportunities. Stocktaking. Monthly management report. Manage monthly expenses on company cars. Compile salaries with commission and submit to Accountant.
