BOOKKEEPER

SUMMARY:
Bookkeeper – Stellenbosch – 4-month Temp position – R18k/month – IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE – Start date 8th March 2021 - open to all

POSITION INFO:

Our well-established client in the Stellenbosch area is looking for a temp. Bookkeeper to fill in for 4 months whilst their bookkeeper is on maternity leave.

Duties and responsibilities:

Bank reconciliation – 3 Cashbooks (including Garage card)

Debtors

Daily management of 3 COD accounts

§ Payments

§ Queries

§ Process management with regards to refunds

Credit note processing (in conjunction with sales manager & quality controller)

Pallet credit notes based on excel reconciliations

Debt collection (including managing legal proceedings)

New account applications & opening thereof (includes credit and reference checking)

Weekly submission of excel reports to client, and claim management via a web interface

Monthly statements (including consolidated statements via excel)

Normal account maintenance (contact details etc.)

Daily checking of invoice for processing errors before update

Credit card facility

Management

Cash-up

Refund processing

Petty cash

Processing payments & refunds

Cash-up

Reconcile to sister company

Creditors

Transporters

§ Compiling excel invoices to transporter

§ Processing of invoices

§ Set-off between creditor and debtor account

Brick supplier

§ Processing of invoices

§ Compiling excel credit note to brick supplier

§ Set-off where necessary

Pallet movement reconciliations (Pastel data processing, comparing to actual movement from source documentation)

Statutory payments (VAT)

Calculations

Reconciliations

Submissions to auditors

Processing intercompany loans and calculation of interest thereon

Processing year end

Up to Trial Balance, 10 years + experience
