BOILERMAKER (Moorreesburg) RNeg
POSITION INFO:
Manufacturing plant seeks a Trade Tested Boilermaker to be responsible for maintenance, repair and fabrication work on various types of machines and equipment. Must have own car, speak Afrikaans and be Trade Tested (Section 13).
Minimum requirements:
â–ª South African Citizen
â–ª Qualified Boilermaker Section 13
â–ª 4 years post apprenticeship experience in manufacturing and fabrication environment
â–ª Willingness to work overtime as and when required
â–ª Valid Driver’s License and own transport
â–ª must reside within 40 km radius of Moorreesburg.
Physical and Environmental requirements:
Incumbent must be able to:
â–ª Use graphic instructions such as blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, or other visual aids
â–ª make precise arm-hand positioning movements
â–ª lift arms above shoulder level to work on objects
â–ª Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time
â–ª work in a variety of environmental conditions with exposure to the heat & dust elements
â–ª move heavy objects with proper equipment.
Key performance areas (inclusive but not limited to):
â–ª Be able to interpret engineering drawings
â–ª Fabricate steel structures as per approved drawings
â–ª Operate fabrications shop machinery i.e. bending brake, roller, guillotine
â–ª Perform arc, gas and tig welding as per required standard and specification
â–ª Ensure best engineering and quality standards are met
â–ª Maintain good housekeeping and safe working standards
â–ª Take control of workmanship
â–ª Perform any other legal and reasonable duties as and where instructed.
