Our client is in the food manufacturing industry

Job Description

Reporting to the Production Manager. You will be responsible for:

Planning and  Organization

• Ensuring proper and accurate production planning
• Liaison with technical and maintenance departments to ensure optimal performance of the production function
• Maintaining proper functioning of manufacturing equipment
• Leading and manage the various teams to produce results in line with customer expectations

Resource Management/Allocation

• Supervising, mentoring and motivating the respective teams
• Conducting and lead regular team meetings (“Let’s Talk”), at level 3

Administration/Reporting

• Maintaining all documentation required for due diligence
• Maintaining accurate traceability throughout the production process

Production Management

• Ensuring all orders are produced in full
• Ensuring all lines are producing at the required efficiency rates
• Proactively managing product yields; maintain waste within the requirement targets

Risk and Compliance

• Complying with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements
• Ensuring compliance to all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping and pest control
• Participate in personal hygiene checks
• Ensuring compliance to all food safety legislation and regulations, organizational food safety management system requirements.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Production Management

Skills

•  2-4 years production management experience
• 3-5 years’ experience in FMCG industry with understanding of Food manufacturing and production
• Knowledge of technical process and principles advantageous
