Professional BEE Advisory organisation based in Bryanston is on the hunt for their next top BEE Consultant be based at their Johannesburg or Cape Town office
POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:
Essential:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience in BBBEE verification / advisory / consulting / auditing
- Must have completed Management Development Programme (MDP) in B-BBEE
- Extensive knowledge and application of BEE codes
Advantageous:
- 3-year relevant Diploma/Degree either in Accounting or Law
Key Performance Areas:
Ability to consult to clients and provide tailor made solutions for each element:
- Able to complete a scorecard and interpret it for all available codes
- Clear understanding of the codes
- Provide written strategies to clients on ways to improve their status
- Monitoring, document collation and file preparation for the verification process
- Can provide opinion pieces in relation to the sector codes
- Business development management – signing on new clients and maintaining existing relationships, negotiating and closing deals
- Source new clients, follow-up on leads and set-up initial meeting with potential new client - business development
Experience in the verification process as an analyst:
A Score Assessment which, based on the applicable Code and measured Financial Year End period, is indicative of current B-BBEE score for each of the scorecard elements (year-to-date information will be assessed and forecast figures will be used to determine your targets for the 12-month financial period).
A Cost Benefit Analysis and B-BBEE Strategy will:
- Identify any gaps, risks or issues and the impact thereof in terms of losing points, dropping a level
- on B-BBEE scorecard and the probability of being a non-compliant B-BBEE contributor.
- Highlight available and feasible opportunities to obtain lost and/or additional points which will improve score and overall B-BBEE level if these opportunities were to be pursued.
- Monitoring of progress in terms of implementing the provided strategy and whether the required targets are being met with Verification Preparation which includes liaising with selected B-BBEE Verification Agency prior to B-BBEE Verification to ensure that the data and evidence file(s) which will be submitted, meet their requirements.
- Sourcing of B-BBEE Certificates and Data Capturing which are crucial for obtaining optimal scores on the scorecard item, Preferential Procurement.
- B-BBEE Verification Support which includes liaising with your selected B-BBEE Verification Agency during your B-BBEE Verification, assisting with the onsite B-BBEE verification, the issuing of Preliminary and/or Final B-BBEE Certificate and, if need be, seeing to the Appeal process
