Job Description

Our client is looking for an HRBP to join their team in Johannesburg.

The purpose is to align business objectives with relevant people objectives throughout the organisation by formulating optimal partnerships with business stakeholders to serve as a trusted people partner, delivering value-added HR services to management and employees in line with the objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Stakeholder Management
  • Risk Management
  • Implement high quality HR Business Partner services that span across the employee life cycle from selection to off-boarding.
  • Conduct regular (weekly or monthly) meetings with respective business units to ensure alignment of people and business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and review HR Policies and Procedures as required.
  • Consult with line management on any people related matters and provide HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions etc.)
  • Conduct all necessary payroll administration tasks as and when required.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning as and when required.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships for the purpose of expectations management, knowledge sharing and integration, and to manage the organisation’s reputation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures within scope of control.
  • Drive the creation and implementation of a personal development plan aimed at achieving excellence in the role.
Qualifications
  • Relevant Diploma in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, or a related field. NQF 6
  • Relevant Graduate Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is desirable.
Skills
  • 3-5 Years’ experience working as an HR Generalist.
  • Strong IR experience is an advantage.
  • Experience working with a human resources information system (HRIS) such as Workday, SAP, Sage VIP, Pastel, etc.
