FMCG distribution company in JHB South.

Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior buyer to join its team in Johannesburg.  The ideal candidate will have come from an existing Foodservice Distributor.

Duties include but not limited to –

• Purchasing of  multiple, diverse FMCG items – the successful candidate will deal with multiple vendors.
• You will be intricately involved in ensuring there are sufficient stocks on the floor of the warehouse to fulfill orders.
• Must be a very strong negotiator and have a high-confront when dealing with suppliers
• Keep abreast of changing trends

Qualifications

Matric and preferably a Tertiary Qualification

Skills

• Experience most vital in food/ FMCG industry - frozen and ambient products
• 7 years minimum experience in similar position within FMCG
• Must have buying experience in food related items, must be able to handle +-2000 regular SKU’s up to 4000 in total.
• Sage/Pastel Evolution is essential.
• Must be able to handle a fast paced, pressurized environment.
