Our client is looking for an experiences Financial Accountant to join their team in Johannesburg.

Duties and key performance indicators will include –

• The financial accountant will report to MD
• Responsible for providing accurate, timely and useful financial information to support informed decision-making by the users of the financial reports and indicators.
• A key responsibility of this role is to manage the cash conversion cycles in the business and all the elements required to do this efficiently.
• Ability to identify and build in checks into spreadsheets that highlight discrepancies
• Methodical and accurate approach to capturing and reporting
• Genuine focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to understand new concepts, ask pertinent questions and then apply learnings consistently, every time
• Strong communicator and ability to work with people from different backgrounds (blue-collar & white-collar workers)

Must have own transport and willingness to work predominantly from the office

Qualifications

• Degree in Financial Accounting or similar

Skills

• 5 years plus in a similar role.
• The role requires excellent Excel skills and the basic Microsoft Software suite as well as experience using payroll platforms.
