Our client is a Manufacturing company with a number of plants nation-wide.

Job Description

Our client is looking for an HR Officer to join their team in KZN.

Duties include –

  • Facilitate, implement and ensure compliance to the HR plan (Employment Equity, Skills Development, Succession Plan, Performance Contracts and other HR Functions) in the operation
  • Implement and facilitate development initiatives and programmes to achieve business objectives
  • Facilitate multi-disciplinary business issues and recommend solutions, contribute to the quality of the decision making process
  • Effective management, governance and compliance with company policies and procedures, relevant compensation and benefits legislation, agreements and relevant legislation
  • Implementing projects to improve and enhance organisational effectiveness
  • Represent management in labour matters to reconcile opposing claims and recommend concessions or proposals of adoptions of new processes
  • Data management and accurate reporting according to the Divisional/Group and any related requirements in accordance with prescribed standards and timelines
  • Talent Sourcing and Coordination in line with legislation requirements and best practices
  • Representing the company in 3rd Party referrals
  • Coordinate HR Projects and organisational development plans
  • Overall HR administration
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
Skills
  • 4 years proven HR generalist experience in manufacturing environment in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Governance and Compliance including interpretation of relevant Legislation and Agreements
  • Fluency in IsiZulu will be advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and influence management teams
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and experience in HCM systems ie VIP, Qlickview, Peromnes, Kronos, etc
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Valid driver’s licence and own transport
