SUMMARY:
A large well-established company, situated in the East Rand and specialising in the pumps industry is seeking a Business Development Manager to develop and support the company’s dewatering pump product range.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A relevant Mechanical Engineering technical qualification is essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial and technical capital equipment sales, pump rental or related in the Mining, Construction and Rental sector is essential.
- An in depth understanding of the Southern African dewatering market and applications, accessories.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and CRM (C4C and SAP) systems.
- Be dynamic, determined and results driven with the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Committed to achieving the goals and plans as set out and agreed on by the division.
- A valid driver’s licence and passport for possible local and regional travel within Southern Africa will be required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Developing the portable flow and dewatering business within the Southern African region.
- Continually building relationships with new and existing clients whilst promoting flow and sustainability solutions within the field.
- Working closely with the division, customers and dealer network on dewatering related applications within the Mining, Construction and Rental sectors.
- Playing an integral part in the regional business development strategy, planning, and execution therefore to attain the full market potential of the Portable Flow Division.
- Managing and safeguarding the divisional profitability in line with agreed KPI’s.
- Offering application support to our dealers and customers within the Southern African region, such as sizing and total cost of ownership calculations for mobile dewatering applications.
