SUMMARY:
Our well-established client is looking for Accounting graduates to join their dynamic team. This is a one-year contract creating and evaluating content development in various forms, from authoring & academic reviewing to instructional design tasks for a Learning Institute.
This position can be managed remotely or be based at an office in the Southern Suburbs.
POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS
B Com in Financial Accounting or related degree (Accounting, Taxation, Financial Management, Auditing, Cost & Management Accounting at 3rd year level) or higher
Firm grasp of the English language & good communication skills
Ability to produce academic content that is accessible for the RSA target audience & appropriate for varying NQF levels.
Good attention to detail with effective time management skills (including multi-tasking)
Willingness to learn and a Team player
Academic writing and research abilities
Computer Literate - MS Word, Excel, PPT, Adobe Acrobat, Internet browser, Google docs/sheets & Accounting software package (e.g. Pastel)
DUTIES
Create, review, rework (which may include rewriting and rearranging), quality assure and/or moderate deliverables
Apply sound educational principles and inhouse best practice in the development of all deliverables
Research topics and source academically relevant content, including images in order to effectively develop content
Ensure alignment between content and stipulated outcomes
Create custom academic figures to visually illustrate or compliment content
Map digital assets to complement textbook content.
Collaborate with relevant staff and/or teams to create multimedia educational content.
Provide constructive feedback and clear direction to authors, peers, video editors, learning technologists and layout designers upon completion of QA/review/moderation
Effect changes based on peer and client feedback
Follow departmental processes, e.g. time tracking, saving out files in the correct locations, remaining up-to-date with all team communications etc.
Contribute to the development, maintenance, updating and improvement of all guides, templates and processes
Remain up to date on, and strictly adhere to, all guides, templates and processes
Liaise professionally with external freelancers/authors when providing them with assistance or feedback
Resolve internal and external queries related to content
Participate in initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in the department and/or organisation
Prepare for and constructively participate in meetings with clients
Perform any duties as requested from time-to-time by either Content Development Team Leads or Academic Managers
