SUMMARY:
My Focus client in the mining and services industry is currently in the market for a highly analytical professional with strong negotiation skills to take up a role as a BBBEE Trust Coordinator.
POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and Experience:
- BCOM with Honours qualification
- Minimum 5 years management experience and 3 years project management experience
- Sound corporate governance experience (essential)
- Proven track record in project management and reporting
- In-depth knowledge of Trust, policies and procedures
- Fluent in English, Zulu, Xhosa and two other South African languages (Pedi/Sotho/Tswana/Venda/Swati/Tsonga etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective coordination of the BBBEE Trust and the administration of the department in line with company’s policies and procedures
- Providing supervision and management to the staff in the division
- The management of the finances of the department as well as the Rural upliftment Trusts including keeping of financial records in line with legal requirements as well as the company’s policies and procedures
- Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment
- Maintenance of all statutory books
- Reporting to company structures on the activities of the Trust and Rural Upliftment Trusts including the CEO, the Executive chairman as well as the Board of Directors and sub-committees of the Board
- Developing and overseeing the systems that ensure compliance by the Trust with all applicable company requirements as well as all legal and statutory requirements
- Successful annual hosting of the annual BBBEE trust meeting with beneficiaries of the Trust and other key stakeholders
