POSITION INFO:

Job Position: Automotive Robot Controller (Equity)

Ref: 3651

Location: Port Elizabeth

Salary:  R25 000 to R30 000per month commensurate with experience and qualification

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in a similar role
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Valid drivers license essential
• Computer literate
• Ability to problem solve using problem solving tools
• Good knowledge of TPM – total preventative maintenance
• Robotic experience highly advantageous
• Possess sound mechanical / electrical knowledge
• Ability to work weekends, overtime and public holidays
• Good knowledge of quality systems

Key Performance Areas:

• Ensure the most efficient and economic use of all equipment and personnel
• Ensure sufficient staff on hand to meet the relevant production targets
• Control staff and equipment to ensure the highest quantity and output
• Take steps to rectify any quality deviation without delay and do random checks throughout the shift
• Technical instruction and training of production personnel on production machinery and all related equipment and procedures
• Ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to
• Instruct production personnel how to recognizes and analyse faults and deviations
• Train with regards to special instructions regarding certain processes or procedures
• Attend to all needs of the staff under their control
