POSITION INFO:

Job Position: Automotive Paint Operator (Equity)

Location: Port Elizabeth

Salary:  R20 000 per month commensurate with experience and qualification

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Matric certificate
• Chemistry qualification (Diploma or Degree)
• Understanding of production JIT processes
• Computer literate
• Must have strong knowledge of paint processes and paint chemistry
• Excellent organization skills are essential, together with good communication skills
• A technical and / or automotive background highly advantageous
• Must be able to work shifts
• Own transport essential
• Basic Hand skills

Key Performance Areas:

• Prepare paint materials according to mixing instructions
• Verify proper operation of large and small bulk systems
• Perform paint and mini system housekeeping
• Execute monthly paint inventory
• Process control and verification of paint parameters
• Minot repairs for paint delivery equipment
• Write maintenance request for major repairs
• Process optimization by incorporating larger batches for improved performance and consistency along with material savings
• Effective root cause and identification skills for troubleshooting paint issues affecting the applications of paint
• Handle hazardous waste disposal of all waste materials in accordance to local Department of Environmental Management and local regulations
