SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

• Maintain and update material standards (exchange rates, raw material trends, etc.)
• Report individual commodity variances (MPV)
• Assist the Factory with the resolution of Supplier problems (Quality, supply, etc.)
• Review key Supplier performance (audits and supplier visits) and compile Supplier Reports
• Maintain and develop Suppliers to add value by, targeted value-added projects, substitution, aggregation of purchase value engineering.
• Process stock and non-stock orders
• Follow up on outstanding orders
• Call off bulk order
• Notify suppliers of a delivery non-conformances (Short, Over, Errors on Invoice, etc.) and take corrective action
• Prepare daily stock sheets on Excel, e-mail to suppliers

• Communicate via e-mail to suppliers regarding daily deliveries
• Process stock write-downs as per policy
• Manage raw material stock levels and maintain stock levels as per stock policy
• Ensure no obsolescence of consumable items
• Report stock adjustments
• Supervise stock counts and analyse and interpret the stock variance report and highlight non-conformances
• Inform planning if late deliveries will affect production

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant purchasing qualification
• 3 Years relevant experience
