Automation Tester - (CONTRACT)

POSITION INFO:

Key Purpose:

• Accountable for the test process implementation - Testing of the Group V1 platform to ensure that a quality system is delivered to our clients. Responsible for identifying test requirements. Project manage the User Acceptance
• Testing phase for each implementation. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and test methodologies. Manage activities during testing and ensure resolution of all defects.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

• Review existing Automation scripts and understand their flow and execution
• Continuous enhancement of regression tests using Automation
• Design test cases and test scenarios based on analysis of business specifications.
• Provide estimates for completing test cases and execution.
• Build and maintain a repository of regression test cases.
• Designing and developing test automation scripts using test automation guidelines.
• Researching issues in software through testing.
• Collaborating with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions.
• Keeping updated with the latest industry developments.
• Perform functional testing as required (text case creation / defect management / test execution)

Education and Experience:

Education:

Required:

• Grade 12 with mathematics, higher grade (minimum C symbol)
• English, higher grade (minimum D symbol) – Must be first language
• Relevant testing qualification

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience working as an Automation Engineer in the business user testing environment, applied knowledge and solid application of the correct testing methodologies required to perform end-to-end user acceptance testing. Manual testing experience must be aligned to an intermediate level.
• Experience with regression, usability, sanity and functional testing methods
• Basic Excel
• Comfortable with figures and basic mathematical concepts
• Experience with automated testing

Knowledge:

• Experience using JIRA
• Product knowledge
• Experience with Appium, Selenium, Gatling, Fitnesse, TestRail and Hexawise
