My client who is based in the North of Johannesburg is looking for an exceptional automation tester to join their team for a 6 month contract. They are a leading custom software development powerhouse with 35 years of industry experience. It means working on a myriad of these exciting projects while staying at the top of your game through regular inhouse and external training. There’s a reason their people are renowned as the best in the business. In this role you will be responsible for manual testing as well as automation testing – specifically on Java.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

BSc Computer Science, Bachelor of Computing or relevant IT degree

ISTQB certified

At least 4 years of direct work experience as a tester – both manual and automation testing experience is required.

Have knowledge in the following areas:

• Java & Apache Maven
• Web Application Automation using Selenium and Eclipse/IntelliJ
• Mobile App Automation experience: Appium Studio/Genymotion Emulator/Android Studio/UI Automator
• Windows automation experience using AutoIT
• Back-end Automation using PostmanUI
• Element Locator Tool: ChroPath (chrome extension)

Must be a fast learner. Be able to come up to speed on new applications and technology in a very short amount of time.

High degree of self-motivation. Must be able to plan and execute work both independently and as a team member.

Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at once.
