POSITION INFO:
Automation QA Engineer required for a software company in Glasgow (can be 100% remote).
This company create an interesting and award-winning range of cloud-based products that benefit the education sector globally. They''ve been untouched by COVID-19 - if anything it has meant an increase in clients using their products as people adapt to blended learning.
If you have some experience with JavaScript or Python, that would be a bonus, but the company care far more about your general autoamtion testing skills and attitude towards testing than any specific programming language (although some knowledge of at least one - any one - is needed).
The technical team move quickly, straight from development straight into production, with QA done during production. They''ve got an incredibly agile set-up with hundreds of tests carried out in a matter of minutes.
This company are product driven, and not overly bound by a rigid process, so if you are keen to join a company where you can adapt quickly, get stuck in, learn and have your suggestions taken seriously, this might be the company for you! (It sounds a bit cheesy, but it''s true.)
You''ll have most of the following skills/experience:
** Experience creating automation test scripts from scratch
** Knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, Python etc.
** Knowledge of Cypress would be great!
** Manual testing, API testing, smoke testing
** Experience in a DevOps environment
If that wasn''t enough, they are dedicated to keeping skills relevant, so a large portion of every employee''s time is set aside for personal development, creating a constantly improving team that is at the forefront of technology trends.
They''re based in the west of Glasgow (easily accessible by public transport), but like most companies are working remotely, and can potentially accommodate someone working remotely full-time within the UK, so please don''t let location put you off!
The salary on offer is competitive, offering up to £35,000 for the right candidate, as well as a strong benefits package on top of this including childcare voucher, cycle to work incentives, pension contributions and more.
Free drinks and snacks are on offer, but you might need to keep them out of reach when back in the office as it is also dog friendly!
If this role sounds of interest and relevant to you, please do apply or reach out to Erin at Cathcart Associates.
Too long, didn''t read / scrolled to the bottom immediately: You''re a Tester with some automation experience, who''s keen to move into a dynamic environment that allows for change quickly, and valuable skills.
